Monkey Business - Halloween 2006

This year we selected a very cute monkey costume from Old Navy for Jaxon. We were joined by Jeff, Michelle, and Tenley-the-chicken as well as Robert, Lan, Ben-the-bee, and Audrey-the-flower. Our Halloween night consisted of a trip to our church first, Calvary Chapel Corona where we had a blast eating junk food, participating in thc cake walk, managing the kids in the bounce houses, filling bags with candy, pony rides, and overall having a great time.

Our next stop was at the Harshbarger's house so Tina, Mark, and the kids could see Jaxon in his costume. Only Tina was home but she ooohed over how cute he looked and offered him a treat despite a lack of tricks. Mark made it home just in time to see us leave.

The third stop was at the baptist church in Riverside that is by Michelle's mom's house. There they offer a "trunk-or-treat" which consists of church members parking their cars in the parking lot, decorating their trunks and handing out candy. The Park's had attended this event last year and suggested it for this year. There were a ton of people this year and we arrived at the tail end. It was neat to see the different themes being offered by people. There was even one guy that brought his boat and decorated the entire thing. It was pretty wild!

After escaping the craziness of the trunk-or-treat we went by the Brighton store at the mall to say hi to the girls and Mary. Jaxon again got his picture taken and enjoyed some letter cookies before we headed home.

It was a late night and he zonked as soon as we got home. But, we had a great time and look forward to it again next year. I was never a big fan of Halloween but having Jaxon has made it much more fun and interesting so that I look forward to celebrating it with him.
