Placing the Blame...

Last week started a marathon number of visits to my doctor's office as well as trips to Loma Linda University Medical Center for testing and observation. My doctor is keeping a close eye on me as my blood pressure is through the roof and I've been having days where my hands and feet look like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. Needless to say, it has been a challenge since I have Mr. Man to be responsible for too. Luckily, we have good friends who are always willing to lend a hand last minute (Read: Michelle and next door neighbor, Lan) as well as a very supportive hubby.

After returning home last Sunday from the hospital, I was talking to Zak about my bouts of high blood pressure and how I needed to take it easy. Jaxon was standing next to him and I looked at Jaxon and jokingly told him that it was his fault that Mommy has high blood pressure. In a dead pan voice he replied, "It's not my fault". I asked him who's fault it was and he very pointedly said, "It's yours".

WHAT!!? This from a two and a half year old that sometimes resorts to toddler babble? And how does he know what "fault" is anyway? Needless to say, Zak and I were howling with laughter as this, the latest of antics from Mr. JT!

Apparentely, we have underestimated his understanding of the English language. Hmmm, I wonder what else he's been processing in that little brain of his? Yikes!
